Birthday Apron!

My little sister is having a birthday, not just any birthday but her 50th birthday! She asked me for an apron a couple of months ago , so that is what I made her for her special day. She said she needed one to cook bacon because she kept ruining her clothes.  I purchased the pattern and fabric months ago when she first asked me, so I should have had plenty of time. Time just slipped away  and today with only 2 days from the day , I was speed sewing!
Here's the pattern...
It is by cabbagerosequilts.com , Barbara Brandeburg.

From Little Black Dress Collection

Couple of pearl buttons and she's set!
So I ran out and got that in the mail.  I had not had a chance to tell you all about my friend , Mary Ann! She went to a quilt show where Edyta Sitar was speaking and giving a trunk show and bought us both one of her new books. Not only that she stood in line and had her sign them. WOW and double WOW! here is a pic of new book and signature,I am so tickled....

I have also been busy with the next Prairie Women's Sewing Circle club quilt. I have the top done and Hopefully this weekend I will get it quilted! Hope you like it...

On top of all this activity the birds are going crazy around here. They are chasing each other all over and trying to get in the patio doors.  The most persistent is a Bluebird...

Chit chat later,Martha.
