A Bit More

I have been doing bits and pieces  of sewing on a few projects lately. At  "Colorz For Quilts"  the quilt store I work for, we are gathering friendship star blocks in red and cream for a quilt  to donate to Habitat for Humanity.  If  we are lucky we might be able to make more than one! Every  block they donate  gives them the opportunity to put their name in a jar .  There are free directions given out at the store.  Brenda Peterson from the other quilt store , in town , told about this event last Saturday at her club meeting.  I bought some fat quarters and made a few, 14 to be exact. A couple were make do blocks.

I also did two more stars for Temecula's sew a long . I also decided to add the backround as I sew them, since I am now up to March 15th.

I will have to keep working on finishing the backround diamonds.

I have also prepared some more pitchers to put on backround squares as you see here....

I had purchased a jelly roll of "Field Notes" by Blackbird Designs and had used part of it. I decided it was time to get rid of the rest of the roll.  I have started doing blocks of scrappy trip around the world. Here are a few blocks....

That is all I have to show for today, stop again and chit chat, Martha.
