The Last Mini

Image
I finally finished the last mini we will be discussing for our "Little Gatherings" class in September. And I even managed to to a little hand quilting on it too! Now I just have to blow up block and make something with it. I also have my first block of the "Raven" ready to be appliqued down. I hate having pins in the way so I baste pieces down useing Roxanne's  glue (which washes out) ,  so I can pick up the block and go anywhere without fear the pieces will stay put. As you can see I still need to make three berries for my one stem. I am saving that for a demo I'll be doing later.  Chatter with you later, Martha.

Six More To Go

Image
I only have six more rows to go. I have made the individual HST's made as you can see below. There are 108 of them. I used my triangulation's program and printed off the papers to make these. Now that they are cut apart , all I need to do is carefully tear off the papers.  So that's what I'll be occupied with this evening.  Martha.

A Couple of Finishes

Image
I finished one runner top in red, white and blue batiks. Finished a small lap quilt also of batiks! I have also started my last mini from "Little Gatherings " book. Lisa suggested making it a two color quilt and I decided to make it red and cream.  That is a quarter sitting on it.  It is only six rows of twenty needed for the center.    I will check back later with my progress, Martha.

Little Gatherings and More

Image
We had our " Little Gatherings" class last Tuesday and had quite some lovely show and tell. Ellie showed us the project pouch and patterns she recieved as she finished the south east section of the shop hop. Carol had several things to show us. The first was a hanky she recieved during the very first shop hop ten years ago. A quilt started from the present shop hop fabric. She also had some duck embroidery on quilt blocks! Cute fabric to finish it out. Mary  had a couple of quilts to show also. Red , white and black is always popular. This was a finish from one of  our guild's classes. This is Mary. A Kim Diehl house quilt. This is Linda's quilt from Cherrywood fabric. This is Linda. This is another quilt useing Laurel Birch fabric. Paula showed us her 4 " Mississippi Crossing block. This was the block we were working on today. Hope you all enjoyed the picture show, catch you later. Martha.
