A Trip Home

I recently  made a trip home to visit my kids and grandkids. Which I throughly enjoyed of course! But I also went to visit with my first quilt teacher and the woman who inspired me to even start blogging. Wanda Hanson taught me all about a 1/4" seam allowance. This was back when we used cereal boxes for cardboard templates and Ginger scissors to cut out our pieces.  The rotary cutter was just beginning to come on the horizon. Little did I know the knowledge she gave me then would serve me for the next 40 years. She gave me a tour of her home and her sewing studios, which I am going to share with you.  Meet Wanda....

Here are some of her creations......

The computer never does the colors justice , now onto the sewing rooms. Yes rooms! She has two exquisite sewing spaces! The upstairs first....

See how neatly  she stores her batiks!

There's more downstairs just as neatly displayed, very organized!

I so many pics to share with you , so I will save some for the next post. Eye candy galore, you will gain so much inspiration not weight , looking at them. Stay tuned, Martha.  In case you would like to check out her blog you will find it at exuberantcolor.blogspot.com , enjoy!
