It's Halloween!

I have gotten caught up with my Temecula alphabet quilt! And I have the pics to prove it!   I have also been working on another Kim Diehl project with wool applique, only the wool applique is not done yet. So here is a pic of my progression so far.... I will just keep you  on pins and needles until next time! Martha.

This is Joan Figeroa from Fig Tree quilts getting ready for the morning rush. Love her stuff and her washed out colors. I bought that star pattern and a few others from her. My next stop, they were just down the road from the booth I was in. I have thier ruler and love thier videos on thier blog. Busy busy people.   another quilt pic . The last pic but not the least. Houston is getting ready to kick off and there will be many more pics out there of lovely quilts. The inspiration is out there! Martha.

There were so many quilts at Santa Clara , and I did not even get to see them all. Heaven! Made with Kaffe Fasset. These were raffle quilts! This was covered in crystals!                                             I will show some more tomorrow, Martha.

Back From California and The Pacific International Quilt Fest

I did take a few pics and I might have to spread them out a bit.  I have never been to California   or the quilt fest before, but I  enjoyed my short stay and had a wonderful learning experience!  My traveling companion was a very patient and able teacher . She was quite remarkable and talented in handling every situation that came up. Her name is Dorothy and she treated me to quite an experience! Five or six lanes of traffic and mountains in the distantce of silicone valley! Palm trees and manicured gardens everywhere. Surfs up! Waves at least six feet up  along the bay near San Francisco. There was a guy out there wind surfing,  Golden Gate Bridge Quite a beautiful bridge! Alcatraz Island View of San Francisco from bridge. The new Levi stadium for the forty niners football team.
