sew what's new?

This is what was accomplished in today's play. This  is block #5 in blockheads II  and it is huge!                         Chatter later, Martha.

I have been making progress with my 3rd Saturday project and yesterday I finished it!                            First I did 4 friendship star blocks. Then I did 2 each of two fabric choices of these paddle-wheel blocks. So a total of four blocks. This is a mystery quilt. Next I was told to sew them together with the previously sewn snail's trail  blocks! It is 88 1/2" long, so this definitely a queen size quilt!   I also put another border on my summer camp quilt,  I picked my own adventure with pathways A.  I cannot put on the other two sides until Friday when they give directions on the corner stones.  I am off to work on my blockheads no.#5 so I will chatter with you later, Martha.

Yesterday my hubby and I celebrated our 45th anniversary. And I still love him! I finished putting together my "Treats No Tricks" from Thimblecreek. Did my own version of a setting.Check it out.... This was after first border and sashing was finished and before last border.             This is my block #4 for the Blockheads II sew-a-long. This last block is my center for the medallion quilt from "Choose Your own Adventure" from Moda's Summer Camp. I am still hand quilting my Tula Pink quilt in the evenings. Steady as she goes on that. I finished with the last step to the "Square Dance" and decided I didn't like it. I think I would have liked it if I had made each half rectangle the same light fabric . Because then the stars would be more visible.  I am going to save it to put on the back of some other quilt. I thought I had plenty of sew-a-longs, but have decided to jump in on the Blockheads II . So I have caught up on the first 3 blocks of the quilt which comes out on Wednesdays. They are doing blocks of all sizes, so it ought to be interesting. Like many of you I am getting tired of waiting on Thimblecreek for their finish setting instructions. Hopefully they will be up this Tuesday as promised!
