sew what's new?

  Even though my daughter may be lurking and reading this blog, I am going to share this knapsack/purse that I just finished making for her. front with zippered pocket and white ultrasuede pull back of purse It matches a larger tote that I made her, both Tula dots. I have more pics showing inside pocket and lining. inside lining pocket with elastic pinned before sewing together Looks grey in this pic, but actually black! So I will be putting this in the mail to her Tuesday! Be safe and be kind , Martha.

  From each fat quarter I am to make 3 five patch  blocks.  So that has been what I've been working on.... Today I am taking two donation quilts to the drop off point for Kids in Crisis. They are the Civil War Ladies quilt and the Tula Pink Maple Island quilts... All for now, chatter later, Martha.

  I have a little preview of the Coastal Lily  quilt that I'm working on.... I  have made quilt labels from pieces of the civil war  fabric from Judie Rothermel. I also finished the binding on another Tula Pink " Line work " quilt that recently came back from the quilter's. Last pic is the backing fabric, another Tula Pink backing.   I finished sewing the binding and the label for my Tula Pink "Linework" quilt. So I thought I'd share some pictures.... I also have some of the backing where I put some extra blocks. I  have six more sashings finished.

I have my quilt blocks all put together. I put two borders on two sides of  my  Dresden quilt. I am going to use the same fairy dust fabric used in the background on the backing. Be safe and be kind, Martha.
