Easter finish

Image
Usually I get my holiday project done after the holiday.  For once I have something done a week in advance!  The Easter design to embroidery is free from Bird Brain Designs .  I finished it and sent it to my little sister.  I put it on a kitchen towel as you may be able to tell. I also got my April block from Aurifil ready to do tonight as I watch tv.  It was Gail Pan's  month to design.  The fabric that I am useing is Late Bloomers by Sandi Gervais . Just in case you are wondering, I am for right now,  putting my rowenta travel iron  to work. And I am still working away on my 30's project.  All for now, talk to you later, martha

Esther The Easter Chicken

Image
Remember this? This pattern is Esther The Easter Chicken   by Carolyn Hughey .  Hopefully if you google this you might be able to find the pattern .   It would not be right of me to send any one a copy of this pattern even though I recieved it free  with out the owner's permission.  So there is the info and best of luck.  I have added a chickenwire border to mine. This is the backing. I am presently layering it together to get it ready for quilting. This is what Carolyn Hughey's looked like!  Live long and sew straight!  Martha

First one done was a wool felt  candle mat. Then I started a table runner for Easter that I found on the internet last year and did not do.  I have put all the pieces down and made the patckwork basket.  I have just started doing the satin stitch around  some pieces but have not finished. Then will have to sew on border,  but thought I would give you a sneak peek. Of course today there was another basket block from Temecula Quilt Co.  And I just had to do that also. This makes number # 3 .  Are you keeping up?   I am off to enjoy some of this great weather. Live long a...
