sew what's new?

I have  one quilt back from the quilter and have it bound, too! Label is on too! Perhaps you can see some of the quilting from the back. I have two other tops with quilters made  from that 2 1/2" bin of strips. I finished another top with six block squares just finished yesterday, I have pics to share of progression....                             I just need to piece a back now. I thought since valentine's day is almost here I would sew up a small quilt for "Loving Arms" charity for the occasion.                                  It's only about 26" square. I have also picked a new block to make with 2 1/2" strips and some 3 1/2" squares that I have collected. I think I have about 8 squares sewn up now. This may be a small lap quilt. I'm thinking maybe 90 squares total, about 5...

JUST SENT OFF VALENTINE'S AND SMALL GIFTS TO MY GRANDKIDS.  I LIVE PRETTY FAR AWAY AND DO NOT GET TO SEE THEM REGULAR SO I LIKE TO SEND THEM MAIL AND PACKAGES . I WANT THEM TO KNOW THEY ARE SPECIAL AND CLOSE TO MY HEART .  I WAS BUSY THIS AFTERNOON MAKING A VALENTINE TABLE TOPPER / WALL HANGING.  ALL I HAVE LEFT TO DO ON IT ;  IS TO MAKE A HANGING SLEEVE FOR THE BACK.  MODA MAKES PACKAGES OF FABRIC SCRAPS THAT GO TOGETHER FOR SALE.  I BELIEVE THEY ARE CALLED STEW MEAT.  THEY RANGE FROM TWO INCH WIDE TO FIVE INCH WIDE.  THEY ALL HAVE A SELVAGE ON ONE SIDE.  A QUILT MADE FROM A JELLY ROLL CAN BE MADE FROM THIS PACKAGE SIZE.  USUALLY I CAN GET A LAP SIZE QUILT QUITE EASILY OUT OF ONE.  THIS QUILT IS MADE FROM THE STEW MEAT PKG.  I HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN TWO LONG TABLE RUNNERS OUT OF IT ALSO.
