sew what's new?

  I have a little preview of the Coastal Lily  quilt that I'm working on.... I  have made quilt labels from pieces of the civil war  fabric from Judie Rothermel. I also finished the binding on another Tula Pink " Line work " quilt that recently came back from the quilter's. Last pic is the backing fabric, another Tula Pink backing.   I have been working on my Civil War Ladies and thought I'd share some pictures.... I have also decided to use another block with these and have started making them. The block  is called Domino . More will have to be made .  The fabric surrounding the ladies is called Dressing Gown , which is also by Judie Rothermel. I have more of Edyta Sitar's mini Winter Village ready to show you also.... I have gotten two quilts back from quilting and have them bound and ready for donation. Thought you might be able to see some of the quilting, too.  All or now be safe and be kind, Martha.  I have begun a new quilt with charm squares .  The pattern is by Pat Speth, "Five is a Cinch". I cut 5" strips from several fat quarters. I started out with a fat quarter bundle of "Flower Gatherings" designed by Lisa Bongean. I have some Judie  Rothermel, Jo Morton, Edyta Sitar and Thimbleberries.  I need 196 blocks for this queen size quilt. I only have a few finished, but thought I'd share them with you. Hope you enjoy the eye candy. I have also been making overnight bags that attach to your suitcase handles. I have one totally finished and another almost done, with one left that is not started. My sister sent me flowers for my birthday, thought I'd share a pic of those too. I have been sewing some masks for my granddaughter that attends Northern Illinois University.
