sew what's new?

Hubby and I took a trip to see the oldest granddaughter graduate from high school.  She won awards for Music and Choral. This is what she will major in and minor in computer graphics. We also got to visit with her brother and new wife while there. (Our only grandson) Afterwards we traveled a little further to visit our son and his family. He got to show us his new home. He had only been there about a week. We also got a tour of the area also. We eventually came home to laundry and garden.... Got caught up on my " Square Dance"  table topper from  My Carolina Home   blog.                             Got a few rows done on one side.                        Then got a few more on the other side.                                   ...

I procured a small selection of Tula Pink's all star collection. It put a little grin on my face!  I also got 5 fat quarters that just struck my fancy, nothing really special about them.                                       Very striking though. I cut my rectangles for the next step in "Square Dance" from My Carolina Home's Blog.... This was all we had to do for this step, again I am only doing the table topper size. I did the first step of three , for my third Saturday group mystery quilt. I will  keep at it and get back to you with my progress later, Martha.

I finished quilting my Frivol quilt and got the binding on it. Washed it and pulled it out of the dryer just now! All nice and warm and cuddly. Now I need to sew the label on the back. Today the first step of the quilt-a-long with frommycarolinahome.wordpress.com   came down today. I am only doing the table runner/topper , so I only had to do eight 9 patch blocks. Today is also Friday and Farmhouse Threads should have their next block out for their quilt-a-long. I will have to check that out. Chatter with you later, Martha.
