sew what's new?

I have the top finished of my gingerbread men. I need to sew on the heart to the center man. I am thinking about embroidering a white outline on each man also, have to give that some more thought. Anyway here is a pic of my progression.... The carmel colored flannel these are made of, is so soft. I think I will both hand quilt and machine quilt this one. I want to finish this before December 1st.  I also finished quilting and binding  the third part of the Christmas panel I had in my stash. For a cat lover, of which there is only one in my family. Forgot to mention I finished the binding on this one too! Chatter later with you thanks for stopping, Martha.

Remember my Ginger bread that came apart?  Well working on that again with number six in progress.... I was digging thru my stash and found an old Christmas  panel . I thought I would try and sew up all four parts to this and send to my daughter. I am currently working on the second part of this panel.... Part I Part II I am currently sewing down the binding on this one! I have block two of  My Enchanted Garden in place and have begun stitching it down..... Colorz  has an applique group that meets the third Friday each month  and is free to everyone who wants to come and stitch.  Here are some pics of friends who stopped in... I have been working on a few little things , one of which I have just finished and am dying to show you. It is a small wool applique in a 14" square frame. It has sparkling  red swakorski crystals in the wreath and tree. I have also been working on a lap quilt using the fabric line called "Silver Linings" . The pattern is called "Hugs and Kisses" by Julie Herman  of Jaybird Quilts. I still have one more row of twenty 6 1/2" blocks to go. I am going to do a few more than that to add to the backing fabric. I had been working on a pattern by Edyta Sitar  with gingerbread men, but I will have to start all over with that one..... After I put it in the washer on delicate cycle to let the wash a way paper melt away ,so did the seams. It was linen and I did not zig zag the edges. I also used hot water and it shrunk. Totally my fault and I am starting all over again. Talk with you later, Martha.
