Variety

Image
I finished another travel bag yesterday. Which leaves only one more to do. I have made 7 Christmas stockings for my quilting guild, PineTree Patchworkers, g iving back project.  These are for youth going thru a rough patch in their life, such as living in group homes or in foster care. I also have a few more blocks for my "Five is a Cinch" quilt pattern by Pat Speth. As you can see there are a lot of half square triangles and I had a problem throwing out the cut offs. So I started saving them, maybe I'll use these smaller blocks for the back of the quilt..... Be kind and be still, Martha. Just a side note ,this past week has been especially rough on my husband and myself. We have lost  2 family members and one special friend this week.  I have one friend in ICU in a coma at present. None of these are covid-19 related.  Remember those around you in prayer.

Birds and Other Things

We've  had many ducks this spring but we have had some other types too! I have also put together the top of  "Danceing Umbrellas" by Edyta Sitar. Chatter with you later,Martha. Be safe, be kind.

More Umbrellas

Image
I have some more umbrellas that are finished being sewn down. I went outside to take the pictures , as it is sunny , however a bit chilly. I was hoping the sun would help the pictures even if the photographer couldn't. Here they are.... I have also been trying to finish a UFO from about ten years ago. It is a thimbleberries project and is called "Three's Company". Apparently I lost interest after the 8th month, because I have the last four months of blocks to do yet. I just finished month nine, which had four blocks to do..... The first block is 12 1/2" square and the other three are 6 1/2" square. For month 10 , I have fabric cut for four blocks, but that is all. You can see the block pattern just above the yellow block in the picture. All for now, busy bee am I. Martha.

Another Quilt Top Done

Image
I have another quilt top done from that never ending 2 1/2" strip bin.  I took several pics o it , both inside and out. I used some fabric of Jennie Beyer's Millenium  series. So it is 20 years old but pretty, with pinks greens and light blues. I needed to add some Marcia Derse olive green to the sides to make it wide enough. I have been scheduled for a second CardioInversion next Monday morning. Prayers are gladly accepted. Chatter later, Martha. Please remember to be kind and patient, above all else!
