Two Blocks and a Finish

Image
I finished stitching the last two embroidery blocks on the "Winter Wonderland " quilt. Now I get to make some piecemaking blocks! I also finished "Amelia's Quilt" by Darlene Zimmerman. I took it outside for some pictures, as it was a nice day. All pressed and starched. I found the red fabric bleed in some spots from the spray starch. So after I get it back from the quilter's, I will wash it with a color catcher. Be safe be kind and get vaccinated! Martha

A Little Further

Image
I have all the five patch blocks finished!    I have just started making the other joining block for this quilt. I have 5 of 30 done. I'll give you a little preview of how it goes together. I'll keep working and have more to show you later, Martha.

On the Move

From each fat quarter I am to make 3 five patch  blocks.  So that has been what I've been working on.... Today I am taking two donation quilts to the drop off point for Kids in Crisis. They are the Civil War Ladies quilt and the Tula Pink Maple Island quilts... All for now, chatter later, Martha.

New / Old Project

Image
I've started a project from my sewing room closet, that is probably 8-10 years old. A friend from Illinois took me to the Joyful Quilter's Shop in Winfield , Illinois called The Quilt Merchant. It is still there too. I bought a quilt kit that was on clearance with the pattern. Material and pattern designed by Darlene Zimmerman. It is called "Many Blessings". I have also made six more placemats for Meals on Wheels. Something to brighten up a day!
