Five is a Cinch

Image
Moving further along in my "Five Inch is a Cinch" by Pat Speth quilt. I have some rows put together, that I'd like to share. This is the top row of blocks. I started to make a queen size quilt, but have changed my mind. It is now going to be a twin size. Patience is running low on this one, or maybe it's just covid running a bit long. This is row two and yes the purple block is supposed to be turned that way! These are the last two rows of the quilt, rows six and seven. I have also made a few more masks, since covid is still rampet. We've had a few nice days so some pics outside were in order! I got back my Scandanaian Stars quilt and got the binding put on. The backing was a Kona solid red fabric.  All for now , be safe and be kind to one another. Martha.

Done With Blue, For The Moment

With three flimsys at the quilters, I have started a new project!  It's red and vintage white. Here is the book from Sherri Falls...... It's an oldie but a goodie! And here is a picture in the book of the whole quilt! I started with nine patches being made..... Then hourglass blocks were made..... I have one block put together..... Tomorrow sewing of pieces will result in more blocks . Be safe and be kind to others! Chatter later, Martha.

I wasn't in a position to do the jelly roll quilt a long with the Fat Quarter Shop and Edyta Sitar in July, but I did print it out. When I got got my layer cake of Forrest Frost Glitter, I thought it might be a good use of it. There were directions for a much larger quilt than the 54" square ,also.  I thought it would be better to stick with the smaller version as I only had one layer cake.  I have pics of my progression for you here.... I'll be sewing the rows together today. Be safe and be kind! Chatter later, Martha.
