Starting Something New!

Image
I got my "Five   Inch Is A Cinch"  quilt back from the quilter's, so some binding is being done in the evening.   Of course a label was put on also. I'll give you a better pic once I'm finished. I had a small fat eighth bundle of a fabric line called "Cinderberry" . It has reds and creams in it.  I mixed in some odd at quarters from my fabric stash. I decided to try Deb Tucker's Rapid Fire Lemoyne star ruler . I think I've had it for about 7 years and not opened the package. I am making the small wall hanging pattern that comes with it. So far I've made 7 - 4" blocks , 1 -5" block , and 1- 3" block. I am enjoying the process so far.  Chatter later, be kind and be safe, Martha.

Last Of the Travel Bags

Image
I finished the last of three travel bags for my three granddaughters. Now I need to wash all three  to get the chalk marks off. I took pics of all four sides to show you.  Now I must decide to make cloth zipper pulls or just use a  ribbon that co-ordinates. I also cut out 6 masks to make this week. Most men prefer no flowers and a more BLAH colored fabric. Hopefully this will work. Be still and be kind, Martha.

Natural Progression

My Aurifil spool quilt top with Tula Pink's Handmade fabric line is finally finished! I took several pictures along the way and want to share them with you.... last two spools small spools The backing I chose was a digital print at 108" wide. There is no formal  pattern as I drew it up on my graph paper. I really like it and might do it again using  a different line of fabric. I'll be taking this to the quilter's tomorrow.  Be safe and be kind, chatter later, Martha.

Changed The Hall Quilt

Image
Changed up my quilt in the hallway with a little bit early Christmas inspiration! I also finished up another 16 blocks on my spool quilt. That makes a total of 47 so far. I will need 2 more and then 14 of the small wooden embroidery thread spools for the borders. Be safe and be kind to one another, chatter later, Martha.

More Spools

I have eight more spool blocks to show you! We woke up to 7 1/2" of snow yesterday morning. Winter Wonderland in my back yard. Be safe and be kind to one another. Martha.

Tula's Aurifil Spool Quilt

Image
I decided to go back and work on my Aurifil spool quilt with Tula Pink's Handmade Fabric line. Here are the 23 blocks that I have finished so far..... Some of the blocks are full spools, some are empty spools and some of the spools are partially used up.  Be safe and be kind, Martha.
