     These are pics of my quilt top before the border was added. I used a purple  Kansas Troubles fabric for my border and for the binding that I will be needing. I also combined two stripe prints for the backing as this is a donation quilt for warmth and not for an exhibit. With the left over pieces from the quilt top I decided to make two small quilts for  a "Loving Arms" gift. Two of our Guild members organize gifts given to parents of stillborn babies and young babies for whatever reason have passed back to Heaven and to God our Father. Backing was the same on both quilts and instead of binding I used the backing as the binding. They were of the same colorway.  I also have been making masks and received a pic from my son of one I made in early October. I put spiders inside my daughter's checked masks. I have also started on some Christmas and winter masks. Working on about 40 masks right now.  I received my first fat quarter bundle of Linework by T...

  Moving further along in my "Five Inch is a Cinch" by Pat Speth quilt. I have some rows put together, that I'd like to share. This is the top row of blocks. I started to make a queen size quilt, but have changed my mind. It is now going to be a twin size. Patience is running low on this one, or maybe it's just covid running a bit long. This is row two and yes the purple block is supposed to be turned that way! These are the last two rows of the quilt, rows six and seven. I have also made a few more masks, since covid is still rampet. We've had a few nice days so some pics outside were in order! I got back my Scandanaian Stars quilt and got the binding put on. The backing was a Kona solid red fabric.  All for now , be safe and be kind to one another. Martha.

  I finished another travel bag yesterday. Which leaves only one more to do. I have made 7 Christmas stockings for my quilting guild, PineTree Patchworkers, g iving back project.  These are for youth going thru a rough patch in their life, such as living in group homes or in foster care. I also have a few more blocks for my "Five is a Cinch" quilt pattern by Pat Speth. As you can see there are a lot of half square triangles and I had a problem throwing out the cut offs. So I started saving them, maybe I'll use these smaller blocks for the back of the quilt..... Be kind and be still, Martha. Just a side note ,this past week has been especially rough on my husband and myself. We have lost  2 family members and one special friend this week.  I have one friend in ICU in a coma at present. None of these are covid-19 related.  Remember those around you in prayer.

 I have begun a new quilt with charm squares .  The pattern is by Pat Speth, "Five is a Cinch". I cut 5" strips from several fat quarters. I started out with a fat quarter bundle of "Flower Gatherings" designed by Lisa Bongean. I have some Judie  Rothermel, Jo Morton, Edyta Sitar and Thimbleberries.  I need 196 blocks for this queen size quilt. I only have a few finished, but thought I'd share them with you. Hope you enjoy the eye candy. I have also been making overnight bags that attach to your suitcase handles. I have one totally finished and another almost done, with one left that is not started. My sister sent me flowers for my birthday, thought I'd share a pic of those too. I have been sewing some masks for my granddaughter that attends Northern Illinois University.
