On the Move

Image
From each fat quarter I am to make 3 five patch  blocks.  So that has been what I've been working on.... Today I am taking two donation quilts to the drop off point for Kids in Crisis. They are the Civil War Ladies quilt and the Tula Pink Maple Island quilts... All for now, chatter later, Martha.

Missouri Star

Image
I decided to do a Missouri Star pattern with my four charm square bunches of "Regency Blues". It is a quick pattern and I have done it before.  It will make a good crisis quilt.  I still have to sew rows together and am a few rows short yet. But you will get the general idea of the quilt. I will be shifting some of the rows around after I finish the last few rows. Be safe and be kind, chatter later, Martha.

Going Swimmingly

I still have the small borders to put on but things are moving along ...... I am going to try to make a pillow case to go along with this quilt.  I also finished  my Kaffe quilt . I have the hand quilting finished, binding put on and washed. Now I just need to put on a label. It will be a great comfy quilt for Crisis for Kids.   Going on retreat for three days, starting next Monday. Carol Nelson is opening her new Craft Camp in Pillager , Mn. Our group from 3rd Saturday will be the first group there. Soooo exciting!!   In for a lot of fun! Martha

Ready For something New

Image
I am ready to start something new today! I fixed my half square triangles in my Chain of Fools by Jen Kingwell.... I took it to be quilted by Connie Krueger. Of course I told her feathers! She has a lot of variety of them. I also finished hand quilting  concentric circles on my scrappy one . They are leftover from a dignity quilt that I did in December of last year. I washed and dried it to get out markings. It is very cuddly. I also put a label on the back. This quilt will be given to Linus or crisis for kids along with these two quilts and teddy bear.... They are hand quilted and all have labels on them. I will deliver them to Brenda Peterson this Saturday. All for now , sun is shining, bless you all for reading! Martha.
