Christmas Is Coming

Image
Yes Christmas is coming! Blogland is full of  it and so are Quilt stores. So I have made my first small wall hanging, approxiamately 54" square. It was a freebee pattern from Fat Quarter shop a number of years ago. I made a few changes with the ribbon bow. They had it 3d and sewn onto the quilt. I made it applique and also added some berries to it. Didn't buy anything new, just from stash , even the backing. It's ready for the quilter, but going to wait until I have another one ready also.  Backing is a white on white fabric. I have started another Christmas project from 2013, from when Susan Lemmon owned  Colorz Quilt Shop.  It is a small quilt from Kate Spain. I think you could easily use it for placemats or pot holders too. This is the first block.... This is the small booklet.... Be safe , be kind, Martha.

Finishes

I took my Missouri Star quilt in to the quilter before I realized I hadn't taken pics of the final flimsy. So I will take some after I get it back.  However I did get back two of my Cherrywood quilts when I went. So they are now bound and pics are taken, so I do have something to show you.  First one up is 40" x 40" ,Cathedral Windows. Next is the green Cherrywood pattern by Karla(owner of Cherrywood), called Leaded Glass. As soon as I finish sewing the rows to  the wreath small quilt I'm working on I will give you some more pics.  It was a free pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop a number of years ago. Chatter later, Martha. Be safe and be kind.

Missouri Star

I decided to do a Missouri Star pattern with my four charm square bunches of "Regency Blues". It is a quick pattern and I have done it before.  It will make a good crisis quilt.  I still have to sew rows together and am a few rows short yet. But you will get the general idea of the quilt. I will be shifting some of the rows around after I finish the last few rows. Be safe and be kind, chatter later, Martha.

Spilled Beans Done!

Image
I finished it!  Made the backing from "Regency Blues" yardage . Regency Blues is also the name of the two packages of charm squares that I used to make the small squares. The backing.... Finished pictures of quilt.... It will be bound with the backing fabric. By the way this also has cherrywood blue fabric in it. So this is my fourth quilt in a row with cherrywood. Be safe and be kind. Martha

Spilled Beans Progression

Image
I have been working very hard on my "Spilled Beans"  quilt by Edyta Sitar.  With such small pieces , it's hard to show sometimes any movement. I've been taking a few pics along the way and I'm ready to share with you..... Hubby took me to the Brainerd Raceway and we watched a race from the back of our car. Other cars were parked about 12-15 feet away.  I found it very interesting and the first time I've been to a race track since I was 16. Hubby tried to get me in at a child's ticket! We had just begun dating. LOL. Be kind and be safe, Martha. Oh I did take a couple of videos if your interested.
