sew what's new?

I came back from Craft Camp in Pillager, Minnesota Yesterday afternoon.  There was a lot of fun,mischief,and sewing going on! This is Carol who not only owns it but played with us the three days we were there! It has generous room for each of the sewists that came and she has enough room to bed 16, most comfortably! This was Sue Carrol's Penguin quilt started, and the Flower paper pieced quilt in the background behind her is one of hers also. Sue or maybe we should say Susan sitting here working on a variety of things , including her third Saturday project! We were calling her Susan ,so we could distinguish between the two. This is Brenda Fedor who loves working on small blocks. Beautiful work, here is a closer look..... This is Georgia, isn't that a pretty name.  She was working on this scrappy quilt top.... This is a block for third Saturday mystery quilt it is  from the hands of Connie Krueger.... See the stars behind her...

I have finished big stitch quilting and putting on the binding on my scrappy leftover quilt! All I have left is to put a label on the back! I am so excited. Because now I can move on to the next hand project to finish up. Blocks leftover from "Summer Wedding" The back Close up of big stitching on back I have one block to applique down on my "Autumn Love " quilt. As I have the other blocks put together, and there is only one small border after that. I have about ten more leaves to add on before all has to be sewn down. These two blocks go on ends of crow and urn block. I am so looking forward to retreat in beginning of April with third Saturday group. I just cut the pieces for what I will be working on during the time spent at Craft Camp in Pillager, Minnesota. I have it all in a project bag.                         Rulers, pattern and fabric, in one bag!      ...

Craft Camp in Pillager , Minnesota is a great destination for any crafter, sewer, scrap book enthusiast or jewelry maker. Comfortable beds , great sewing chairs ,  roomy tables, excellent kitchen facilities abound in this retreat center. I have an abundance of pics for you to enjoy.... Barb M. and her steamy weapon!
