Starting Something New!

Image
I got my "Five   Inch Is A Cinch"  quilt back from the quilter's, so some binding is being done in the evening.   Of course a label was put on also. I'll give you a better pic once I'm finished. I had a small fat eighth bundle of a fabric line called "Cinderberry" . It has reds and creams in it.  I mixed in some odd at quarters from my fabric stash. I decided to try Deb Tucker's Rapid Fire Lemoyne star ruler . I think I've had it for about 7 years and not opened the package. I am making the small wall hanging pattern that comes with it. So far I've made 7 - 4" blocks , 1 -5" block , and 1- 3" block. I am enjoying the process so far.  Chatter later, be kind and be safe, Martha.

Using Up the scraps

I have my Moda Summer Camp quilt bound and done! Now to show the backing...... This is without the last round of blocks.  I made them but didn't like them, so what to do? Make placemats! So I made a total of ten, but only have binding sewn on four of them. This is my project tonight while watching television with hubby.  I enjoyed traveling to Nebraska for my hubby's family reunion. I had never been to North and South Dakota either. Very enjoyable. Chatter later, Martha.

I Think I Am Finished

Image
I did not like the orange peel block for path A.  I wasn't that impressed with pathway B. But I started making them anyway, I made 30 blocks and put them next to the last row and said NO! So I trimmed it and got it ready for binding! I am only going to use it for my dining room table, as a tablecloth.  So I figured I would not miss an extra row, it measures 56" square as it sits now.  Plenty big enough for my table.   I am going to a family reunion in Nebraska tomorrow and planning on stopping at a quilt store or two, wish me safe travels. Chatter later, Martha.

A Little Behind

Slow progress

I am starting to make the flying geese and I am useing Deb Tucker's ruler  to do this. As I would prefer to make four at a time instead of one at a time. I am just chillin, chatter with you later, Martha.

Keeping Busy

Image
I have been making progress with my 3rd Saturday project and yesterday I finished it!                            First I did 4 friendship star blocks. Then I did 2 each of two fabric choices of these paddle-wheel blocks. So a total of four blocks. This is a mystery quilt. Next I was told to sew them together with the previously sewn snail's trail  blocks! It is 88 1/2" long, so this definitely a queen size quilt!   I also put another border on my summer camp quilt,  I picked my own adventure with pathways A.  I cannot put on the other two sides until Friday when they give directions on the corner stones.  I am off to work on my blockheads no.#5 so I will chatter with you later, Martha.
