sew what's new?

Our Kansas Trouble group meets in about 10 days. I thought I would get out my mystery blocks and directions so that I might put together the four corners of the quilt. We are coming to an end with only three more meetings left. So here is a peek of the four corners of the Mystery quilt by Sherri Falls. I also got back my Pam Buda mystery quilt from my friend Connie who quilted it for me. Pam Buda has done 2 small mystery quilts this year and this is the last one. I find a need to make my sewing more portable lately. So I am exploring the world of bags. I, generally do not make bags,  only totes. So this is a new experience for me! This is Terry Atkinson's " CLASSMATE" bag. This is the inside with plenty of pockets and room to put all sorts of things! This pattern is by Sherry Falls and is called " Tag A Long "  and is half the price and about half of the pockets too. As you can see there are just two pockets one for each side. One good for magazines or patterns and one clear vinyl for your stitchery or threads. This is our own Erin and Karla Overland from "Cherrywood Fabrics" who went to the big apple and to Bumble Bean's   QUILT ALLIANCE AFTER DARK party(A.K.A.- Victoria Findley Wolfe) Karla is a member of the Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Guild (that I also belong to). YES WE ARE ALMOST THERE, TO  THE END THAT IS.  THIS IS MY BLOCK # 50 GRAPES OF WRATH FROM BARBARA BRACKMAN. I  HAVE ALSO ANOTHER FINISH WHICH I PLAN TO DONATE TO QUILTS OF VALOR.  I  WAS A MEMBER OF A SWEET PICKINS CLUB, (SHERRI FALLS, OF THIS AND THAT BLOG AND PATTERNS)  AND THIS WAS HER YEAR LONG MYSTERY QUILT.  I DO NOT PARTICULARLY CARE FOR IT.  SHE DOES NOT PLAN TO CONTINUE THE CLUB AS SHE HAS MET WITH MORE OBLIGATIONS NEXT YEAR.  I DO NOT KNOW IF ONE PIC IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER OR NOT,BUT HOPE YOU GET THE IDEA.    I AM HOPING SOMEONE ELSE WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS.  ALL FOR NOW , MARTHA
