On the Move

Image
From each fat quarter I am to make 3 five patch  blocks.  So that has been what I've been working on.... Today I am taking two donation quilts to the drop off point for Kids in Crisis. They are the Civil War Ladies quilt and the Tula Pink Maple Island quilts... All for now, chatter later, Martha.

New / Old Project

Image
I've started a project from my sewing room closet, that is probably 8-10 years old. A friend from Illinois took me to the Joyful Quilter's Shop in Winfield , Illinois called The Quilt Merchant. It is still there too. I bought a quilt kit that was on clearance with the pattern. Material and pattern designed by Darlene Zimmerman. It is called "Many Blessings". I have also made six more placemats for Meals on Wheels. Something to brighten up a day!

Moving On

Image
I finished my Log Cabin Hexagon quilt and took it to a longarm quilter  to be quilted. I do have pics to back that up for you. This is the second quilt to be made from the leftovers from the "Coastal Lily" quilt. I have also finished another block from "Winter Wonderland" and sewn  what blocks that I have finished together! It was quite a windy day when I took those pictures!  I also got the binding put on and back stitched down on my "Civil War Ladies"  quilt. All for now, be safe and be kind, Martha. More Snow ❄️

Image
We're still getting snow! Woke up this morning with three inches on the ground and still coming down. Finished another Winter Wonderland block!  I have been working on my scrap basket , as the last three quilts have filled it up. I thought I'd try a hexagon log cabin with 1 1/2" strips. Now I have to decide to stagger the rows or keep them one below the other. Be safe and be kind. Martha. Linking with Quilting Patchwork Kathy's Quilts
