Carrying On

 

 

I gave my hubby a pattern before Christmas and told him he did not have to make it  this year. But that this was something that I would like for him to make me.  That all he had to do was to promise me he would make it.

He finished my quilt rack!! I have put 6 small quilts on it so far. I love it. He did it in less than a week after we got around for shopping for wood. Such a sweet hubby.

 

I also got one of my quilts back from quilter. Some custom feather quilting with spiral flower design in middle of star. Beautifully done.

Next Thursday is visit your local quilt shop day and also the first day of our grand re-opening! Put it on your calendar.   Stop by and say hi.  All for now,Martha.

Onward!

  I have been doing some more sewing of flying geese, the past couple of days.  I have made some progress as I have about twenty sashings total sewn now.  Here are pics of what I have finished so far. I also got back another lap quilt from the quilter and I have sewn down the binding on the front side. In the evenings I am enjoying hand sewing the back side.   I also purchased some Applipops  , which were a bit on the expensive side($35) and decided to try them for all the circles in this quilt. They are not worth the price in my opinion.  To each his own. I prefer my mylar circle washers, There are many more sizes and easier to use. Ryokan Second Visit
