BUCK BLOCK QUILT

     DURING THE SUMMERS OUR LOCAL QUILT STORE CHARGES $1.00 A WEEK FOR MATERIAL AND PATTERN FOR A BLOCK FOR A QUILT. THIS GOES ON FOR TWELVE WEEKS.  ALSO THEY GIVE YOU SEVERAL VARIATIONS ON HOW TO PUT  IT  TOGETHER.  I BELIEVE THERE WERE FOUR WAYS GIVEN THIS YEAR.  SORRY  ABOUT THE PIC BEING SIDE WAYS. THIS WAS THE SETTING I CHOOSE.  THE FABRIC FOR THE ADDITIONAL BLOCKS ARE MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PURCHASE.  I REALLY ENJOYED DOING THIS ONE.  THIS IS SUCH A BARGAIN!


I LOVE STRIPED BINDING ,  HOWEVER FOR SOME REASON I RARELY DO IT!  THIS TIME I REMEMBERED!  ALWAYS REMEMBER TO PUT A LABEL ON THE BACK.  IF NOT FOR YOU , FOR YOUR KIDS!


TAKE A FEW STITCHES EVERY DAY FOR YOUR SPIRIT AND SOUL!   ALL FOR NOW,  TAKE CARE.

Onward!

  I have been doing some more sewing of flying geese, the past couple of days.  I have made some progress as I have about twenty sashings total sewn now.  Here are pics of what I have finished so far. I also got back another lap quilt from the quilter and I have sewn down the binding on the front side. In the evenings I am enjoying hand sewing the back side.   I also purchased some Applipops  , which were a bit on the expensive side($35) and decided to try them for all the circles in this quilt. They are not worth the price in my opinion.  To each his own. I prefer my mylar circle washers, There are many more sizes and easier to use.
