End of Year

Image
Made a few more masks and got them sent off yesterday. I started a 16 patch quilt from my Tula Pink "Handmade Line". I have got 30 blocks finished, but I need 56.  I think that should get me the size I want. Eight rows of seven, with 8 1/2" blocks.  I am planning on just a few strip pieces leftover. My daughter wants a travel bag too, but for her birthday, at the end of January. I will be heading to the quilt shop later this week for the fabric. She let me know black and white fabric is her choice.  I have less than 30 days ,so I better get hopping. Be safe and be kind, Martha.

Another Finish

I finished my BQ4 pattern by Maple Island, made with "Linework"    fabric line by Tula Pink.   I have decided on a backing fabric which is also designed by Tula Pink.  Now I need to iron both pieces one last time before going to quilter's.  Someone asked in my last post if the pattern "Salt and Pepper" was available. Yes it is. It is on a post card by Villa Rosa    . I also got binding put on my original "Aurifil Spool" pattern and sewn down. I even braved the snow on my deck to get some pics. This is the backing pic..... Be safe and be kind, Martha.

"Salt and Pepper " is the name  of my first Tula Pink "Linework" fabric line quilt. It's finished and ready to take to the quilter's tomorrow. And the backing is sewn together.... I have started to sew on the second quilt with this fabric line. The pattern is BQ4 by Maple Island. I have four of the twenty blocks needed to make a twin size quilt  already made. Be kind and be safe, Martha.

On To Other Things

Made a couple of journals for my sister . I  used these notebooks that are found in most stationary departments. I also tried a pattern called Cleopatra's Puzzle, which is made with drunkard's path blocks. I have also started a quilt with my Tula Pink's "Linework " Fabric Line. I finished 6 blocks out of twelve,  on the pattern. Chatter later, Martha.

Borders are waiting on me!

My Lemoyne star quilt called "The Constellation" is awaiting it's borders to be put on. The backing is the same red as it's borders. I'm showing photos of it's progression. the backing It's only 37" x 37". It will make a good table topper. I have also finished my binding on "Five Inch Is A Cinch" quilt and went outside to take some pics for you as I promised. My back yard "pond" is frozen over also. Always be kind and be safe, Martha!
