This walnut shell filled pin cushion is from the  " Simple Appeals" book by Kim Diehl.  It was a quick one hour project!









 This is another Kim Diehl project from her Simple Whatnots Club which starts in September at Colorz Quilt store in Baxter.





It is called" Sunday Supper".  It is approxamately  13 1/2 " x 16 1/2".  Love the colors of her new line Vintage Farmhouse. The whole line is at Colorz and is going fast as is the registration for the club!  

The last Prairie Women's Sewing Circle meeting will be  August 5th, during Minnesota's shop hop. I have the last two quilt ready to show.   I am busy hand quilting in the evenings and enjoying it, but it is a long process so we will find out if I can stand the wait for gratification. Onward!

  I have been doing some more sewing of flying geese, the past couple of days.  I have made some progress as I have about twenty sashings total sewn now.  Here are pics of what I have finished so far. I also got back another lap quilt from the quilter and I have sewn down the binding on the front side. In the evenings I am enjoying hand sewing the back side.   I also purchased some Applipops  , which were a bit on the expensive side($35) and decided to try them for all the circles in this quilt. They are not worth the price in my opinion.  To each his own. I prefer my mylar circle washers, There are many more sizes and easier to use. Ryokan Second Visit
