Home But Not Settled

We just got home tonight, still putting away and cleaning up. Thought I would give you  few pics so I do not overload in one post.  
On the left  is the grand daughter who just graduated eighth grade , center is grandson who has new apartment in Chicago, on right is grandson's girlfriend Sarah!
They had just begun planting flowers in the front of his building on the way to the dog park.
I love the Chicago skyline. Beautiful architecture.
 We went to see the Bean. Which is only 3 city blocks from his building. So we did a lot of walking.
Chicago Ampitheater  on way to Bean is next to Millenium Park.

This is all within Grandma distance walking three blocks. More pics later! Martha.

Onward!

  I have been doing some more sewing of flying geese, the past couple of days.  I have made some progress as I have about twenty sashings total sewn now.  Here are pics of what I have finished so far. I also got back another lap quilt from the quilter and I have sewn down the binding on the front side. In the evenings I am enjoying hand sewing the back side.   I also purchased some Applipops  , which were a bit on the expensive side($35) and decided to try them for all the circles in this quilt. They are not worth the price in my opinion.  To each his own. I prefer my mylar circle washers, There are many more sizes and easier to use.
