Labor Day

I have  working on my "Gypsy Wife" quilt today and have finished section eight ....


And section nine...


and section ten...


I put all three sections together and got this...


My quilt top holder is holding up section one thru six ....


Hopefully I will be able to get the two pieces together and put the border on this week.  She doesn't show hers with one , however she does give two suggestions for a border.  I think I would like a  small pink polka dot border.  I think I will have it quilted with a simple all-over design because with all this movement no one will probably see the quilting. I will get back to you with a pic once I have it all together, Martha.

  I have been doing some more sewing of flying geese, the past couple of days.  I have made some progress as I have about twenty sashings total sewn now.  Here are pics of what I have finished so far. I also got back another lap quilt from the quilter and I have sewn down the binding on the front side. In the evenings I am enjoying hand sewing the back side.   I also purchased some Applipops  , which were a bit on the expensive side($35) and decided to try them for all the circles in this quilt. They are not worth the price in my opinion.  To each his own. I prefer my mylar circle washers, There are many more sizes and easier to use.
