Labor Day

With Labor Day and Veteran's Day both ahead of us, I thought I would give my group something patriotic for our last class day next week .  Since our "Little Gatherings " project contains half square triangles so this must , but in a larger form.

So from the 1/2" finished hst's , I went to 2" finished hst's. And of course since it is patriotic, the colors were red, white and blue.  

For every one blue hst I made 2 red hst's. I then sewed them into rows. Once the rows were all joined I decided it needed at least 3 wool stars for added glitz.

Top is finished and quilted , just need to finish the  cream colored binding.  It is a table centerpiece , measures  26 1/2" x 12 1/2". Summer is coming to a close with school opening soon, chatter later, Martha.
