CRAYONS

I HAD SOME ONE ASK ME , " HOW DO YOU GET THE COLOR ON YOUR EMBROIDERY? "
AFTER THE DESIGN HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED  WITH PENCIL OR AS I USE ,  A BROWN PIGMA PEN,YOU MAY COLOR THE DESIGN WITH REGULAR CRAYOLA CRAYONS AS LIGHT OR DARK AS YOU WISH.

I USE A BROWN PIGMA PEN BECAUSE IT IS PERMANENT AND DOES NOT SMEAR OR RUN, IT ALSO IS EASY TO SEE AND COVER UP WITH STITCHING.  AS FAR AS COLORING IF YOU USE AT LEAST THREE SHADES OF THE SAME COLOR (OR HAVE ONE OF THEM BE WHITE TO HELP LIGHTEN OR BLEND) IT WILL GIVE A MORE DEMENTIONAL PICTURE.  IT WILL ALSO GIVE YOU SOME  SHADING.

ONCE YOU HAVE COLORED YOUR PICTURE THEN YOU MUST HEAT SET AS HIGH AS FABRIC CAN TAKE IT.  YOU MUST PLACE A PAPER TOWEL ON TOP OF COLOR AND THEN IRON.

YOU MUST CONTINUE DOING THIS UNTIL NO WAX COMES ONTO PAPER TOWEL FROM THE DESIGN.  THEN IT SHOULD BE PERMANENT.  OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET WAX COLOR ON YOUR IRN AND POSSIBLY SPREAD IT ALL OVER YOUR DESIGN AND FABRIC.

YOU MAY THEN EMBROIDER YOUR DESIGN.  ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS?    STILL NO SNOW FOR MINNESOTA!! THAT IS ALRIGHT FOR ME.

 STITCHINGLY  YOURS ,  MARTHA
