Flannel For Autumn

 I finished putting on my crows on my flannel squares quilt I had started before Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt came into my life!




What I also did was to use one of the stitches on my machine to put a few ants or bees on my sunflowers (I have not decided what they are yet, but they are bugs!)  I finished adding all my rows of square and ended up with a quilt about 94"  x  94". It is in line to be quilted as we speak!  Just a simple all over design for this one.  But I did choose some lovely varigated thread for it!  I also prepared block seven of my "Wooly Critter Sampler" as you can see here....

Onward!

  I have been doing some more sewing of flying geese, the past couple of days.  I have made some progress as I have about twenty sashings total sewn now.  Here are pics of what I have finished so far. I also got back another lap quilt from the quilter and I have sewn down the binding on the front side. In the evenings I am enjoying hand sewing the back side.   I also purchased some Applipops  , which were a bit on the expensive side($35) and decided to try them for all the circles in this quilt. They are not worth the price in my opinion.  To each his own. I prefer my mylar circle washers, There are many more sizes and easier to use.
